Armor

Armor was an elevator company based in New York City that made and installed their own elevators. They also sold their fixtures to other companies.

General Elevator Company Panel Wiring (Square Buttons)

This video shows me wiring and restoring a General Elevator car panel with the square Armor buttons. This particular General Elevator was a St. Louis based company that distributed Rotary/Dover stuff.

This particular piece came from a 5 story building, and appeared to have a second car panel based on the text on the 3 button. I made it where pressing the button lights it up, the keyswitch for 4 lights up the button, and where the stop switch activates all the buttons.

National Elevator Company Panel Wiring (Circle Buttons)

This video shows the wiring and restoration of an old National Elevator car panel with the small circle Armor buttons. This one needed a bit more cosmetic fixes, but overall it wasn't a super hard restoration, and the final result looks awesome!

VR Button Wiring

This video shows wiring Armor's vandal resistant style of buttons. From the front, you may not recognize these as armor, but seeing the back reveals it! The buttons shown in this video came from a parking garage and were VERY dirty, so in addition to wiring, I also restored and cleaned up these panels.

Circle Button Wiring

This video shows the wiring of a basic Armor terminal call button. This particular button has a unique arrow style, but has the same contact style behind it.
