Dover Impulse

Dover Impulse is one of the most well known fixtures in the elevator community. With it's distinct button style, angled panels, and chimes, these fixtures are very easy to pick out. These buttons have two versions. Both of them look identical, but the inner workings are different. I have made multiple videos showcasing Dover Impulse, so if you are looking to wire your own button, I most likely have a video that will help you get started!

How to Wire Dover Impulse

This video shows you how to wire Dover Impulse if you have very minimal supplies. Ideally, you would want to use wire connectors, proper lamps, and things of that such, but sometimes you don't have access to those things. This video will give you a good idea how to form a circuit to make the buttons light up when pressed.

Wiring a Dover Impulse Car Panel

On this project video, I show you how I made this panel into a working elevator simulator. It was a project that took a lot of time, energy, and frustration, but in the end, it came out awesome! If you're curious what the back side of a Dover Impulse car panel looks like, be sure to watch this one as I break the panel down and show each piece.

Wiring two Custom Dover Impulse Buttons

This video shows me wiring two custom Dover Impulse call buttons. The buttons themselves are the same as any other Impulse button, it is just the plates that are different. This video shows a much more proper way of wiring Impulse.
