Innovation is a manufacturer of elevator fixtures, buttons, and other parts. Innovation products are very common to find on elevators in the United States. Many smaller elevator companies (and some large ones) use Innovation for the supplier of the fixtures.
Below are all of the videos I've made that feature Innovation elevator buttons. See the bottom of the page for more help on wiring Innovation buttons.
This video shows you how to wire a single button. This is a great video to watch if you have a terminal call station, or only ONE button you wish to wire. It also shows the inner workings of an Innovation button.
This project video features an entire Innovation car panel and what I did to make it interactive. It gives you a good insight to what the inside of a car panel may look like and an idea of what kinds of things can be done with it!
This video shows some of the buttons that Innovation custom makes. These buttons are made for Kone, but have the same Innovation circuits on the back. You can see a detailed look of the fixtures and some brief wiring instructions.
This video shows me working on a very well built call station that features the NEMA-4 style of buttons. This piece also has an "In Use" and "Car Here"light that I implemented into the wiring.
This video shows the wiring of an Innovation call button that has a fire service keyswitch. I set it up where the buttons light up when they are pressed and the fire hat turns on when the keyswitch is set to on.
Wiring Innovation buttons is VERY easy to do. All of the newer circuit boards have the same connectors, so figuring out what goes where is easy. Below is a wiring tutorial video and a wiring schematic for Innovation which may help you get your buttons going!
