Long Car Panel

Long elevator is one of my favorite elevator companies because they were a local company and because of how unique they were. I was given a Long elevator car panel from the recent modernization of Kiener Plaza West, and I am super excited to have this panel.

In this project video, I first took everything off to clean up. This was in a public parking garage, so for 20 years, this panel accumulated filth. After my cleanup, this panel was in much better shape.

For the wiring, I wanted to have the position indicator work with the press of the buttons. Each button LED lights up when pressed and the PI changes to the corresponding floor. I also connected the fire service light to the keyswitch, and made the alarm activate a buzzer.
