MAD

MAD elevator is a supplier of elevator fixtures and cab interiors. Their elevator fixtures are actually one of the easier to wire up for our purposes. These videos show different types of elevator fixtures that feature MAD buttons and how to wire them. Traditionally, fixtures like these would be used by smaller companies, but as of lately, the larger companies are using these fixtures on their installs.

Intermediate Call button

This is an intermediate surface mount call station featuring MAD fixtures. This type of button would have been used by Thyssenkrupp elevator. This video shows you how to wire up a fixture with two buttons. See schematic 1 below for wiring this button.

Terminal Call button with a keyswitch

This video shows you how to wire a MAD fixture that has a single button and a keyswitch (fire service is shown in the video). See schematic 2 below for wiring this button.

Thyssenkrupp Safety Ambassador Button

This is a fixture that Thyssenkrupp elevator gives out to people who join their Safety Ambassador Club. The fixture itself is a MAD call button, and should already be prewired. This video shows the inside of the fixture mainly to show how to change the battery or add something else to the other button contact.

Wiring Schematics

Note: The actual connector positioning may vary per base. Your base may look a little different than the ones shown on these schematics. The same wiring concept is used on those, just connect the wires to the appropriate places.
